In my opinion I think that the author felt that everyone forgot the story of the Hutu and focused on the suffering of the Tutsi. The author obviously knows that the deaths of the Tutsis was huge but nobody ever asked how the Hutu saw the while thing. By reading this book the author lets the reader know that many of the Hutu didn't like killing during the genocide. Many were forced to kill.
