Henry Hudson
- Henry Hudson's first voyage was to seek out the Northwest Passage, and he left in May of 1607. He later returned In September of 1607 and was 600 miles away from the North Pole, but had to stop due to bad ice conditions.
- Part of Hudson third voyage led him up the coastline and around the Chesapeake bay, and on September 12 1609 entered the river leading up to the future area of Albany New York.
- Hudson's fourth and last voyage was to seek the Northwest passage up the North American continent. He traveled in the Davis Strait, (which would later be known as the Hudson Bay). Hudson was known as Avery important Voyager because he helped inspired others to go explore even more.
