What do the drugs do to the body parts affected? lungs absorb inhaled chemicals into bloodstream very quickly, sending them throughout the brain and body, users feel "high", similar to those produced by alcohol and may include slurred speech, lack of coordination, euphoria, and dizziness. The high usually lasts only a few minutes.

Addictive? physically and psychologically addictive, have a strong urge to continue using inhalants, especially after continued usage over many days.

Side effects? -feel less inhibited, less in control, drowsy for several hours and experience a lingering headache.
-effects the brain because some chemicals leave the body quickly, but others stay for a long time and get absorbed by fatty tissues in the brain and central nervous system.
-long-term inhalant cause nerve cells to not able to transmit messages as efficiently, which can cause muscle spasms and tremors or even permanent difficulty with basic actions like walking, bending, and talking which is similar to what happens to patients with multiple sclerosis.
-cause heart damage, liver failure, and muscle weakness

What forms does it come in? breathe vapors through nose or mouth, "Sniffing" or "snorting" fumes from containers, spraying aerosols directly into the nose or mouth, sniffing or inhaling fumes from substances sprayed or placed into a plastic or paper bag ("bagging"), "huffing" from an inhalant-soaked rag stuffed in the mouth, inhaling from balloons filled with nitrous oxide

Street name? laughing gas, snappers, poppers, whippets, bold, rush

Chemical name? volatile Solvents, aerosols, gases, nitrites

Punishment for illegal possession of this drug? Penalties range from $25 fines to $10,000 fines and from 30 days or less in jail to up to six years in prison.
