What type of research does a mystery writer have to do?

What makes a mystery even better is being accurate. Research is everything in a mystery and can effect the readers enjoyment of it. Mystery writers will do research on many things like what the place is like and what type of people live there or what crimes are most often done in this area. Being accurate is another step to having a successful mystery book. Another thing that mystery writers will research is what the geography of the area look like. This may give the author ideas for crimes and big scenes. Research Is very important and is a big reason why so many people enjoy mysteries.
