Signs and symptoms differ from whether you are born deaf to if you are an adult or elderly and become deaf.
Babies and children:
- screened for hearing loss
- if they do not resound to noise
-respond slowly or unable to speak by the expected age
Adults:
-trouble understanding woman and children with higher toned voices
- unable to differ the "th " and "sh" sound
-for adults it is more noticeable in noisy environments
