Summary

In this story there is a young lady named Mathidle Loisel. She one day finds her husband come home with an invitation to a fancy ball. She then throws a fit because she thinks she doesn't have anything to wear. She asks her husband for 400 Frances. She then throws another fit because she thinks she doesn't have any jewels. She then borrows some jewels to wear from her friend, but she ends up losing the jewels and replaces them. Many years later she finds out that the jewels were not real and ends of feeling ashamed
