The adrenal cortex is associated with three hormones:

Glucocorticoids: steroid hormone that regulates the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats
Example: Cortisol

Mineralcorticoids: steroid hormone that regulates the levels of sodium and potassium in the body
Example: aldosterone

Androgen: steroid that regulates development of male characteristics and body parts.
Example: Testosterone
