Cardiovascular system parts:

arteries: carry oxygenated blood AWAY from the heart
veins: carry deoxygenated blood TOWARD the heart
capillaries: width of a hair; allow oxygen to pass into and carbon dioxide to come out of the bloodstream

- pumps DEOXYGENATED (without ox.) blood to lungs FIRST
