Geographic Location

Aksum lied in Eastern Africa in present day Ethiopia. The Kingdom of Aksum lied on the present day Gulf of Aden as well. Because of this, they were able to grow crops with the rich soil.
Though Ethiopia was on the Western side of the Red Sea, some of the empire expanded into the Arabian Desert. Those who were on the Western side of Aksum had used Lake Tano for drinking water and farming.
