Who was Al Capone "Scarface"?
He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1899. He was born to Italian immigrants and at in the 6th grade he quit school. He joined a gang, where he meet Lucky Luciano and Johnny Torrio. When the 19th amendment, The Volstead act, was passed in the 1919, opportunities popped up for him. They considered him a hero in Chicago for running soup kitchens for the poor. He was also responsible for the St. Valentine's day massacre.
He had some of his men dress up as cops and had them line up 7 other men from a rival gang and shoot them. In 1931 he was indicated for income tax and for violating the 19th amendment several times. They gave him a 11 year sentence in Alcatraz. He was released in 1939 and later died in 1947 of a stroke.
