Who was Howard Hughes?
Howard Hughes Jr. was born to Howard Hughes Sr. and Allene Stone Gano.
- When he was younger he couldn't really learn things easily while being in a class room. Instead at home he taught himself.
- At the age of 16 his mother died. Then two years later his father died as well. He received 75% of his fathers company and the other 25% went to relatives.
- When Hughes was 18 years old he decided to go to court and fought for the judge to grant him legal adulthood, in order to buy the other shares of his relatives. At age 19 he finally got full control of the company.
- Hughes got into movie making.
-He filmed over 25 movies.
- In 1938, he flew around the world, breaking Wiley Post's record.
- In 1966 he moved into Dessert Inn. When the hotel tried to kick him out he just bought the place. From there on no one really saw him. In the 1970 Hughes marriage failed again.
- In 1976 he died from liver failure during a plane ride from to Huston, Texas. Since no had really seen him in the last couple of years they weren't sure if it was really him.
