Fighting Back

An organization called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded in 1909 to help stop discrimination and segregation, oppose racism, and to gain civil rights for African Americans. This is only one attempt at trying to prove that African Americans are equal to white people and to try and stop the Jim Crow Laws.
