Habitat
The habitat of the mice consists of mixed evergreen forests. The best habitat is wet with Douglas-fir. They are mainly arboreal, but show some terrestial activity. They nest mainly in Douglas trees, but can also nest in conifers. They feed primarily on Douglas-fir needles, but they also eat needles of other trees also, such as the Grand White Fir and the Sitka Spruce. It can also eat the inner bark of the tree.
