Since much of the east coast's waters are too deep for conventional wind turbines, it makes it a necessity to find new renewable energy opportunities, one being tidal energy. After the initial costs, tidal energy is very cheap, and therefore would be a good choice for the east coast. As of right now however, there are no working tidal energy turbines in the area.
