Axis and tilt

The earths axis came from an object(theia) hitting the earth causing the earth to tilt forever at a 23.5° angle. The axis is the main reason for the seasons and it points towards the North Star. So when the sun is father away in the Northern hemisphere( us) the axis is tilting towards the sun causing more direct sunlight making it summer. But when the earth is closest to the sun the northern hemisphere is in winter cause the tilt is causing less direct sun light.
