The Man Who led the Rebellion

Hong Xiuquan was a VERY delusional man who believed that he was the brother of Jesus.

Amidst all this chaos, a man rose up. His name was Hong Xiuquan. Hong Xiuquan called for a radical change to Chinese Society: changes that would normally have not been supported by the people, but luckily for him, the people weere desperate for a way out of their terrible situation and supported him. Many Chinese people despised the Qing as foreigners as well further boosting his position. The Taiping plan had many different parts to it such as the abolition of private property, the creation of communal wealth, the prohibiting of foot-binding and concubinage, free public education, simplification of the written language, and literacy for the masses. All of these parts led to the creation of one of the most dangerous rebellions in human history.
