Mary Leakey was a archaeologist and a paleoanthropologist as well as a anthropologist. Her field of study was paleoanthropology. She was best known for her exceptional ability to find fossils. She is also known for her excavations of the two most famous hominid fossil sites in East Africa. They were the Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli, both in Tanzania.
