States Rights
Definition: The rights of individual U.S. States.

South Impact: It lowered the decision making power of Jefferson Davis's government related to domestic and financial politics. They wanted to keep slavery so they fought for states rights or succeed from the Union.
North Impact: Popular Sovereignty gave the North the right to choose if they wanted slavery in the Northern states or not. Some Northern states declined which impacted them by not having Slavery.
Popular Sovereignty: The states right to decide wether or not to have slavery.
