- Homologous structures are body parts or anatomy that are similar in various species due to their similar decent.

- Embryology is the study of the similarities of the embryo of an unborn animal or human. It shows that similar embryos develop in similar ways.

- vertebrates have similar embryos at first, as they they develop they slowly change. This shows the possibility of a similar ancestor.

- Anatomy is the study of the body's structure.

- Biological molecules show the changes in the sequences of the composition of cellular molecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins over a long period of time.

- DNA can have mutations which can eventually lead to a new species.
