Urban:
Most urban slaves were domestic slaves which meant cooking and cleaning and much less severe things than the rural area slaves. Domestic slaves were treated better and given many more resources than the slaves that worked in rural areas and plantations

Rural:
Rural area slaves had a much harder life. Most of their work was hard labor and they would often be abused and harmed more often than say a domestic slave. Working on plantations was difficult for slaves especially with the little they were given and the hotter weather.
