In my opinion, some paintings have the power to surpass time and be viewed forever as a "classic" because of a deeper meaning. The Mona Lisa, for example, contains a secretive looking woman and many scholars believe this was purposeful. Some even believe it is Da Vinci in a female form! The deeper and unknown meaning keeps the painting intriguing forever.

Conclusion

Artists have used the concept of human emotions throughout time because human emotions never disappear. This is because they are human traits and of course, human traits never go away. This class has given me so much knowledge about different time periods and it seems that no matter what the subject is, human emotions always are present throughout the artwork. It seems that no matter what era, human emotions tie into the type of art, no matter if it is photography, realism, idealism, or even religious.
