The Day of a Serf
The men would rise early in the morning, and go out to work their master's fields. Some would care for the various animals- the herds of sheep, gaggles of geese, pigs, and more that helped sustain the manor. After the master's fields had been plowed, the serfs would tend to their own fields.
The women would look after the children, care for their gardens, clean, and attend to the hundreds of other necessary household tasks.
Clothing was generally given to the serfs as part of their payment. People had one set of clothing that they wore until it fell to pieces.
