Poems that relate to low moral value

The lack of of morals leads to someone being horrible and a negative influence in society. People talk behind each others backs, have affairs, use others, and even go as far as having someone killed. The poem "A Poison Tree" by William Blake expresses how immorality is a horrible thing for someone to have(http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-poison-tree/). William Blake described how if you lack morals and let your anger grow, one may find themselves hurting others. This leading them to be a detrimental part of society. The poem, "Immorality" by Lizelia Augusta Jenkins Moorer is about the horrible treatment that blacks had to endure in the south (http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/immorality/). In the poem, the treatment of the blacks is described and can plainly be seen as immoral. The text describes the lynchings, beatings, and the manual labor that has to be done. These are all things that a human being should never go through and have to endure yet they are which leads to a civil war and the South being left in ruin at the end. The two poems both reflect on how the lack of morals leads to bad outcomes and is a true burden of society. The human race as a whole needs to overcome these to persevere in the future.
