Deforestation is serious!

Deforestation is a big issue today, especially for tropical rain forests. The Amazon Rainforest has been described as the "lungs of our planet" because it provides an essential environment and world service of continually recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen. More then 20% of the worlds oxygen is produced in the Amazon according to rain-tree.com. The issue is deforestation. Deforestation is cutting down trees to give people space and paper. Rain forests once covered 14% of the earth's surface, but now they cover a mere 6%. Wonderful animals such as monkeys, birds and sloths are losing their homes daily due to deforestation. Deforestation must stop.
