Hinduism was founded in India, but has spread to all over the world, and it is the most prominent religion in South Asia. It was brought by the Aryans to the Indus civilisation. It has no single founder but beliefs have evolved over time. They stress non-violence.

Caste system determines who you can marry.
Dharma: your moral and religious duties
Karma: energy that moves you from caste to caste
*to achieve moksha you must perform dharma to earn karma.

Polytheistic:
A. Brahmin- the universal spirit
B. Brahma- the creator
C. Vishnu- the preserver
D. Shiva- the destroyer
* all individual gods that are all part of Brahmin
* other gods are these gods reborn

The Vedas is the original source of Hinduism, and the Upanishads is the 2nd holy text that includes rituals and ceremonies. They worship in temples. Their ultimate goal in life is to break the cycle of reincarnation and achieve Moksha(union with Brahmin). You are reborn into a social hierarchy called the caste system.
