People shouldn't take anything for granted let alone their opportunities in life. The American land represents freedom. This freedom should never be taken for granted. Our fore fathers' fought long and hard to provide the American people with freedoms that some countries can only dream about. In the poem American dream by Gary Hess, it said that "We need to persevere the great nation." This shows that the Americans have to take care of the land that they use in order for future generations to partake in their own American dream. Another quote in the poem is " For you are our hope and everything that we stand for." Sometimes people get caught up in their everyday lives and forget what it means to American. The only way to persevere the American dream is by having everyone do their part to protect America. All Americans need to do their part in order to protect our freedom. This can only be achieved if everyone does their part in protecting the American dream.
