Most activities in Texas had to be found in daily activities. Horse racing, hunting, and fishing were some favorites. There would be Saturday night hoedowns and fiesta activities for Hispanic families. Religious actives like weddings, baptisms, and revivals also brought people together. Political elections and debates , theater groups, and newspapers articles also brought the social level up in Texas.
