Changes and Rural Life in Texas

On Feb. 19 1846, President Jones gave his farewell speech, and Texas became apart of the U.S. Texas then had quick challenges as towns and industry grew.
In 1846-1860 the amount of farmers grew from the 12,000's to the 43,000. Many of them focused on growing crops. The main thing they grew was,cotton and corn.
