Signs and Symptoms
Until a fracture occurs, there are no symptoms. The most common locations for breaking a bone if you have osteoporosis are the hip, spine, and wrist. Any fracture in an older person could be a warning sign of a weak bone.
Spinal fractures often go unnoticed. Height loss of one inch or more may be the first sign of spinal fractures due to osteoporosis. Multiple spine fractures can cause a curved spine, stooped posture, back pain, and back fatigue.
