Aryans emerge in India:
Nomads belonged to one of the many groups of speakers of Indo European languages. They married with local people to form the group, the Aryans. Most of what we know about the Aryans comes from the Vedas, a collection of hymns, chants, ritual instructions, and religious teachings. Aryan priests memorized and chanted the Vedas for more than 1,000 years before being written down. This period from 1500 BC to 500 BC was called the Vedic Age.
