After much anticipation, the first two Saudi Arabian female athletes participated in the 2012 London Olympics. Wodjan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shahrkhani, a judo competitor, and Sarah Attar, an 800k meters runner, were invited to compete by the International Olympics Committee.
