Interferences

Due to interferences blank analyses are usually not zero. However for convenience a blank can be used to adjust the equipment to zero. This is equivalent to subtracting the value of the blank from all the standards and then plotting the curve or plotting the curve with the blank and the line must pass through this point.Interferences are caused by substances that affect the direct measurements of the analyte.
