Reproduction of Plants
A plant reproduce one of two ways. Asexually or sexually. A non-seed plant or spore reproduces asexually. This happens when one cell splits into two identical cells. A conifer reproduces by, for example, when two cones of the same tree come into contact and the pollen of the staminate one blows through the wind and is caught on another cone. The pollen and megaspore combine to form a diploid cell which eventually grows and lives inside. A flowering plant reproduces when the pollen is carried by say a bee to the stigma. This is where the male and female cells will combine and eventually create an embryo. Theses examples found on Biology4Kids, see site slide for link.
