You should follow their religious customs. It's obvious that This Raja is very into religion so you want to follow the religious customs. For example you take off your shoes when you enter a room. Also you don't sit in the chair, you sit on the ground. But the Raja might not do these things, so if he sits in a chair, you sit in a chair. Also when you talk you want to make sure you don't say anything that would offend the religion of Buddha. For example don't say anything against the 4 Noble truths or Nivarna because, those are extremely important to their religion.
