Winter

In winter, we are closest to the sun. This is called Perihelion. Winter is the opposite of summer, so instead of direct sunlight, we get all indirect sunlight. Indirect sunlight is when solar energy hits the earth at less than a 90° angle. The days get shorter and the temperatures drop.
