Axis Tilt/ Rotation and Revolution

The Earth also revolves around the sun in an elliptical (oval). This revolution is one of the factors that effects the seasons.

The Earth is tilted 23.5° on an imaginary line called an axis. The axis is always tilted towards the North Star. The Earth rotates on its axis, and one rotation takes 24 hours or 1 day. This is what causes day and night.
