The followers of Islam are called Muslims and this elision started in the Middle East around 600 A.D. They have the five pillars of Islam which are Shahadah: faith Salat:praying Zakat:responsibility Sawn:fasting Hajj:the pilgrimage to Makkah. They believe in one god named Allah, they worship in temples and churches. Their sacred book is called the Qur'an. In the after life you would either go to Paradise or Hell. One festival they celebrate is Ramadan which is the month of fasting. On division of Islam is Sunni who believed Abu Bakr should succeed Muhammad in 632 A.D.
