Once upon a time there was a King who had three beautiful daughters. But the most beautiful of all was the youngest daughter Psyche. Psyche was admired by all men and they worshipped her as a goddess. They said that even Venus herself couldn't equal this mortal. Venus's temples were neglected and forgotten and all that was left on her altars were cold ashes. This did not make Venus very happy. She called upon Cupid who usually does her bidding. She asked him to shoot Psyche with one of his arrows and make her fall in love with the most despicable disgusting being in the universe.
