Religious Hierarchy

The Catholic clergymen "religiously" governed the other classes in the feudal system. They made sure that people gave money to the church and participated in the mass. Priests controlled the knights and the serfs/peasants class. The parish priest preached and celebrated the mass. They believed that by participating in the sacraments they could have everlasting life.They helped the poor and sick by giving moral advice.
