Armed guards

Along with arming the ships they should have security guards that understand how to handle hostile situations. By havering armed security guards on the boats they should be able to protect themselves, at least until help arrives. I believe that by having armed security guards pirates will be either unsuccessful or unwilling to attack these guarded ships

Overall, Somalia has a very big piracy problem. They need to act now and get rid of these pirates. Somalia has made a small effort by deploying patrols, but they need to do more. In order to stop piracy, they need to hire armed security guards to be on every cargo ship that is vulnerable to pirates.
