Conclusion

Originally, the Chinese civilisation developed along two main rivers, which were the Yangtze River in the South and the Yellow River in the North, supported by many other tributaries. There was the North and South regions of Ancient China and they had their differences. In North China, the soil is dry and harder to work with, and the climate is cold, especially in winter because the average temperature is 0 degrees. Whereas in southern China, it is warmer and wetter, and the fields are always filled with water.

The rivers were very important to Ancient China because they were birthplaces of Chinese culture and without them, the Ancient Chinese civilisation couldn't have survived.
