Starting with the Indus Civilization in 2600 B.C. the Indian subcontinent was blossoming with promising ideas and a vivid culture. The people started farming and trading, these people, in the Indus River Valley, came up with grid pattern roads, writing, plumbing, and brick houses. The Aryans came about in 1500 B.C. and they started one of the largest religious organizations, later became known as Hinduism. Buddhism is later derived off of Hinduism only there is no god. Some Buddhists believe that the Buddha, founder of Buddhism, was a god. The Maurya has two famous rulers, Chandragupta and Asoka, they were polar oppisites. Chandragupta believed in harsh rulings of his kingdom, while Asoka believed that there was prosperity in peace. Then in 320 A.D. the Gupta empire took power, In this new empire Hinduism helped shape society with the Caste System. All of these civilizations and religions are still relevant today, leaving there mark on math, medicine, science, culture, and art.
