Arcuate

Delta

The land around the mouth of the river arches outwards into the water.
The river splits up, creating a fan-like effect.

The area around the mouth of the river juts outwards into an arrow shape.

Cuspate

"A river delta is a landform that forms at the mouth of a river, where the river flows into an ocean, sea, estuary, lake, or reservoir. Deltas form from deposition of sediment carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth."

There are three main types of river delta:

Bird's Foot

The river splits up before reaching the end of the land. Each part of the river has land running into the sea.
