ROSE BUBBLE TIP

DESCRIPTION- Mainly found in reefs and it's pedal discs are usually attached within the dead coral.

ADAPTATION - The Rose Bubble Tip Anemone can stretch its tentacles on predating and are called sweeper tentacles. It has the ability to sting other anemones and corals, therefore keep these aforementioned organisms away from the Rose Bubble Tip Anemone.

HABITAT- They live in the water column, one of which gives it the common name, due to the bulbous tips on its tentacles.

SCIENTIFIC NAME- Entacmaea quadricolor

DIET-
Meaty foods like Krill, Mysis, Brine Shrimp, small silver sides.

INTERESTING FACTS-
Rose anemones have a symbiotic relationship with many species of anemonefishes such as the clownfish. the Anemones use tiny stinging cells in their tentacles called "nematocysts" in order to stun their prey. These nematocysts within these tentacles are also used as a defense mechanism. One way the rose anemones reproduce is by splitting in two.
