On November 8, 1974 , Bundy posed as a police officer and as he tried to lure a girl into his car he slipped up and she managed to get the cuff off one wrist and manage to escape. The later she was able to identify Bundy at the station. He was convicted of attempting kidnapping, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, he escaped from the court house by jumping out the second story window, injuring his ankle. He fled into the mountains and got lost for several days, and then got caught soon after. Once in prison he escaped once again by cutting a hole in the ceiling of his room with a saw that he bought from a fellow inmate for a sum of 400 dollars. He was caught about a week later in a stolen car. He was then identified and transported to Miami to stand trial for numerous murders. He was easily convinced for his crimes and was sentenced to death row. He spent his time on death row conducting interviews. He tried to appeal his case many times by offering locations to some of his victims, to try to avoid death row, but despite of his desperate actions it failed. He was then executed in November 24, 1946.
