Scenario 2: This raja's empire has access to many riches because his kingdom includes the southern trade routes. He doesn't want to give them to anyone and wants to keep in control of them. In the past, there has been a kingdom just like his named Kalinga. When he asks what happened to it, tell him that it was overtaken by another empire with a bigger army. Make sure not to offend him though. Also mention the statistics. For example:
- 200,000 people died from battle causes
- 50,000 driven out from war
Say that he can still have his precious trade routes. In fact, if he joins your empire, more people will be able to use those trade routes. You can also provide safety. Don't make it sound like he is weak though. Just try to make him consider it and sound like you are simply reinforcing his army and helping him. It is important not to offend him.
