When Cleo and Kathleen married on April 6, 1941, they combined two families with very different backgrounds. Shook family life was continually interrupted by wars, while the Hambleton line constantly fought to defend their beliefs. Both families had their struggles in the past, and will continue to have them in the future. However, the lessons learned from observing these two very different families shows that fear is no match for the love present in the Shook-Hambleton family.
