Brief History and Facts

-Firaun's actual name was Rameses the second. He was called Firuan in the Quran because he wanted everyone to believe he was god. Those who didn't he used to kill by nailing them to the ground with sticks. And because of this he got the name Owner of the pegs. He even killed his own wife Aaisya(one of the 4 noblest women in the world) this way.

-Before Prophet Musa was born Firaun was told that a boy would be born who would overthrow him so he ordered that every male child in the Bani Israeel be killed.

-When Prophet Musa was born Allah ordered his mother to put him in a basket and place it in the Nile River.

The box floated up to Firaun's palace and he wanted to kill him but his noble wife(Aasiya) stopped him and Prophet Musa was saved.
