Ned Kelly was born to a poor Irish family who like many Irish people hated the English, who had taken over Ireland.
Ned and his family didn't like the police or the rich because they tended to pick on the poor Irish.
Ned and his brothers gathered up some mates that they had met in jail and formed the kelly gang.
The gang stole from the rich and gave to the poor but kept some money for themselves
they sometimes stole from the poor and threatened them if they didn't listen.
Who can be compared to Ned Kelly?
Ned Kelly
Robin Hood was similar to Ned Kelly because he was an outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
In other words he hated rich and greedy people but could relate poor and needy people.
The reason he could relate to the poor people was because he was one of them so he did everything he could to help them.
