By the time my great grandfather passed away, he still had his French Canadian accent, since he never really took English seriously. A story told by Abel all the way down the line to me, starts off in the bathroom of their old home on Prince Edward Island. The eldest of the seven got to take a bath first, then the second oldest and so on and so forth until the youngest, by the end of the day had to take a bath. Each time one sibling would take a bath, they did not clean the water, because it was to much work to have to drain and refill the tub over and over everyday. But on Sundays that would change, now it was the second eldest who took a bath first and the third. This pattern went of for weeks until the youngest of them took a bath first, then the cycle started all over again. And as my Great grandfather Abel had explain to my grandfather, 'You were the luckiest when you got to take a bath first.'
